Although the legislation to bring back gaming control could be approved by the House of Representatives, it is unlikely to become a law. National politics is blocking any legislation from becoming law in the Philippines because of fears that the bill will impact the Philippine economy. The main issues that have come up with the previous efforts include increasing costs and reducing benefits to Filipinos. The House Majority leader however has said that the bill will still be passed in congress.
